SEC. 45-31-7. Authorizing agency; authorization to disseminate information; employment of personnel; reciprocal exchange of information with other states.
(1) The Office of the Attorney General (authorizing agency) is authorized to approve or deny employer representatives' requests for authorization to receive sex offense criminal history record information.
(2) The Mississippi Highway Safety Patrol and local law enforcement agencies are authorized to disseminate sex offense criminal history record information to employers authorized to receive such information.
(3) The authorizing agency may employ personnel necessary to carry out the purposes of this chapter.
(4) The Attorney General is authorized to enter into compacts with other states for the reciprocal exchange of sex offense criminal history information to further the purposes of this chapter.
