SEC. 65-3-21. Deletions from state highway system; Laws, 1968, chs. 455, 456, 458, 460, 461, 463, 465.
Adams County.
1. The following link of highway in Adams County, Mississippi, is hereby deleted from the state highway designated system:
Begin at road junction near south line of Section 14, Township 8 North, Range 2 West, and extend northwesterly to Anna, thence in a northeasterly direction to the Jefferson county line in Section 20, Township 9 North, Range 2 West, being approximately six and one-half miles in length.
Amite County.
2. The following link of highway in Amite County, Mississippi, is hereby deleted from the state highway system and removed from the jurisdiction of the state highway commission:
Beginning at a point on Mississippi Highway 24 in Amite County, commencing at its intersection with Mississippi Highway 33 at Gloster, Mississippi, thence easterly to Bewelcome Community, a distance of approximately five miles.
This is a portion of highway added to the state highway system as set out in Item 2 of paragraph (c) of subsection (2) of section 65-3-7.
Choctaw County.
3. The following link of highway in Choctaw County, Mississippi, is hereby deleted from the state highway system:
Begins at Front Street in Weir, Mississippi, and extends southerly along old Mississippi No. 12 to a point at or near the south line of Section 17, T 16 N, R 10 E, to intersect with the Panhandle Road, a length of approximately two miles, Choctaw County, Mississippi.
This is a part of the section of highway added to the state highway system in Item 1 of paragraph (a) of subsection (2) of section 65-3-7.
Jasper County.
4. The following described portion of State Highway No. 512 is hereby deleted from the total mileage limitation of eight thousand six hundred miles which is set out in section 65-3-3, and is hereby deleted from the state highway system:
Beginning at an intersection where the old Paulding and Pachuta Road crosses the Clarke and Jasper County line; thence running in a westerly direction a distance of approximately seven and seven-tenths miles to intersect an unnumbered state highway which runs from the Philadelphia Church to Missionary Crossing, all in Jasper County, Mississippi.
Kemper County.
5. The following section of road in Kemper County, Mississippi, is hereby deleted from the state highway system and removed from the jurisdiction of the state highway commission:
That portion of Mississippi Highway No. 498 formerly known as Project No. SA-35(1) beginning at Porterville, running in a southeasterly direction and ending at the Mississippi-Alabama state line.
Said highway shall henceforth be under the jurisdiction of Kemper County, Mississippi.
Marshall County.
6. The following section of road in Marshall County, Mississippi, appearing in section 65-3-11, is hereby deleted from the state highway system and removed from the jurisdiction of the state highway commission:
A certain link of road beginning on Highway 78 approximately five miles southeast of Holly Springs, Marshall County, running thence in a northeasterly direction approximately six miles to the Benton county line, being located in a national forest.
Said highway shall henceforth be under the jurisdiction of Marshall County, Mississippi.
Union County.
7. The following link of highway in Union County, Mississippi, is hereby deleted from the state highway system, removed from the jurisdiction of the state highway commission and returned to the jurisdiction of the board of supervisors of Union County:
Commencing at the point of intersection of State Highway 355 and State Highway 349 and thence running in a northeasterly direction along State Highway 355 to the next beat line.
This is a portion of a section of highway added to the state highway system as set out in Item 15 of paragraph (a) of subsection (2) of section 65-3-7.
Washington County.
8. The following link of highway in Washington County, Mississippi, is hereby deleted from the state highway system and removed from the jurisdiction of the state highway commission:
Begins at the intersection of U.S. Highway 61 and Mississippi Highway 436, approximately 1.2 miles south of Hollandale in Washington County, and extends east to Murphy.
