MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972
As Amended

SEC. 65-3-77. Deletions from state highway system; Laws, 1977, ch. 422.

The following described links of highway are hereby deleted from the state highway system and removed from the jurisdiction of the state highway commission:

Northern District-Union County

Beginning on the west boundary of Section 19, Township 6 South, Range 1 East, on the Union-Marshall county line and running in a northeasterly direction approximately five (5) miles to the north boundary of Section 4, Township 6 South, Range 1 East, and the Union-Benton county line.

Northern District-Benton County

(a) A section of road beginning at the intersection of U.S. Highway No. 78 in Section 28, Township 5 South, Range 1 East, Benton County, Mississippi, and run southerly through Section 33 and end at the Union County line, being approximately 1.4 miles in length and known as the Hickory Flat-Cornersville Road.

(b) A section of road beginning at the intersection of the Blue Mountain-Hickory Flat Road in Section 19, Township 4 South, Range 2 East, Benton County, Mississippi, and run easterly through Section 19, 18, 17, 16 and 21 and end at the Tippah County line, being approximately 3.5 miles in length and known as the Pine Grove-Bethel Road.

Northern District-Tate County

Beginning at the community of Tyro at a road intersection near the southeast corner of Section 3, Township 6 South, Range 5 West; running thence west along the south line of said Section 3 for a distance of approximately 0.5 miles; thence in a northerly direction to the east line of Section 32, Township 5 South, Range 5 West; thence north along the east line of said Section 32 and Section 29 to the community of Aiken; thence in a northwesterly direction to Miss. Highway 4; thence in a northwesterly direction to the community of Thyatira; thence in a northerly direction to a point near the center of Section 17, Township 5 South, Range 5 West; thence in a northwesterly direction to the intersection of Miss. Highways Numbers 305 and 306; being a distance of approximately 11.6 miles and being FAS Route 911.

Northern District-Chickasaw County

Begin near the southeast corner of Section Thirteen, Township Fifteen, Range Three (13-15-3) at the Clay County Line, and run thence west along the south side of Sections 13, 14 and 15 in said Township and Range to the Village of Sparta, and thence continue west along the south sides of Sections 16, 17 and 18 in Township Fifteen South, Range Three East (15S-3E) through Section Thirteen, Township Fifteen, Range Two East, (13-15-2E) to the intersection with Mississippi State Highway Number 15 approximately one-half mile south of the Village of Woodland; and this road following Federal Aid Secondary Route 731, and being approximately 6.7 miles in length and known as the Woodland-Sparta Public Road.

Southern District-Lincoln County

Beginning at Ruth, Mississippi, on State Highway 583, in the south half (S 1 /2 of Section 20, Township 5 North, Range 9 East, and run thence southerly through Sections 29 and 32 all in Township 5 North, Range 9 East, to the Lincoln-Pike County line, in all a distance of two and two-tenths (2.2) miles.
