SEC. 65-3-113. Additions to and deletions from state highway system; Laws, 1992, ch. 424.

Section 1.

(1) The following highway is deleted from the state highway system, removed from the jurisdiction of the State Highway Commission and returned to the jurisdiction of the City of Lucedale:

Southern District - George County:

That portion of Mississippi Highway 613 in the City of Lucedale from Cowart Street to Main Street, a distance of approximately ninety-six one hundredths (0.96) of a mile.

(2) The following highway is deleted from the state highway system, removed from the jurisdiction of the State Highway Commission and returned to the jurisdiction of Madison County:

Central District - Madison County:

State Route 460 (Yandell Road) from its intersection with U.S. Highway 51 to its intersection with State Route 43 at or near the Natchez Trace.

Section 2.

The following highway is deleted from the state highway system, removed from the jurisdiction of the State Highway Commission and returned to the jurisdiction of the respective counties:

Central and Southern Districts - Copiah and Lincoln Counties:

Begin on U.S. Highway 51 in SW 1/4 of Section 34, Township 9 North, Range 8 East, and extend northeasterly via Beauregard Road to an intersection with Timberlanes Road in NE 1/4 of said Section 34; extend thence southeasterly via Timberlanes Road to an intersection with the Lake Lincoln Road in the NE 1/4 of Section 1, Township 8 North, Range 8 East.

Section 3.

(1) The mileage of highway designated in this section is in addition to the total mileage limitation of eight thousand six hundred (8,600) miles that is set out in Section 65-3-3.

(2) The following highway is designated as a state highway and is placed under the jurisdiction of the State Highway Commission for construction and maintenance as hereinafter provided; and such highway, together with the highways designated in Sections 65-3-3 and 65-3-5, and all other laws adding links to the designated state highway system, are declared to be the State Highway System of Mississippi:

Southern District - George County:

That portion of Cowart Street in the City of Lucedale between Mississippi Highway 63 and Mississippi Highway 613, a distance of approximately fifty-eight one hundredths (0.58) of a mile.

(3) The State Highway Commission is authorized to maintain, construct, take over and assume jurisdiction of the above-designated highway in the same manner and upon the same terms and conditions as set out in Sections 65-1-75, 65-3-3, 65-9-1 and 65-9-3.
