SEC. 65-3-117. Additions to and deletions from state highway system.
(1)
(a) The mileage of road specifically designated in paragraph (b) of this subsection is in addition to the total mileage limitation of eight thousand six hundred (8,600) miles that is set out in Section 65-3-3.
(b) The following highway route is designated as a state highway and is placed under the jurisdiction of the Mississippi Transportation Commission for construction and maintenance; and such highway, together with the highways designated in Sections 65-3-3 and 65-3-5, and all other laws adding links to the designated state highway system, are declared to be the state highway system of Mississippi.
Southern District - Pike County:
A route providing direct access from the interchange atI-55 at or near Summit to Southwest Community College.
(c) The Mississippi Transportation Commission shall construct, maintain and take over and assume jurisdiction of the highway route designated in paragraph (b) of this subsection in the same manner and upon the same terms and conditions as set out in Sections 65-1-75, 65-3-3, 65-9-1 and 65-9-3. The Mississippi Transportation Commission shall obtain adequate right-of-way by gift or donation, or by use of eminent domain proceedings, if necessary, for construction of such highway.
(d) The highway described in paragraph (b) of this subsection is designated and shall be known as the "Hershal L. Grady Memorial Highway." The Mississippi Department of Transportation shall erect and maintain appropriate signs along and approaching such highway.

(a) The mileage of highway specifically designated in paragraph (b) of this subsection is in addition to the total mileage limitation of eight thousand six hundred (8,600) miles that is set out in Section 65-3-3.
(b) The following highway is designated as a state highway and is placed under the jurisdiction of the Mississippi Transportation Commission for construction and maintenance; and such highway, together with the highways designated in Sections 65-3-3 and 65-3-5, and all other laws adding links to the designated state highway system, are declared to be the state highway system of Mississippi.
Central District - Lauderdale County:
A segment of highway beginning at its intersection with Mississippi Highway 39 at or near Lizelia and extending easterly approximately 3.5 miles to the United States Naval Auxiliary Air Station.
(c) The Transportation Commission shall maintain, construct, take over and assume jurisdiction of the highway designated in paragraph (b) of this subsection in the same manner and subject to the same conditions as set out in Sections 65-1-75, 65-3-3, 65-9-1 and 65-9-3. Such highway shall remain under the jurisdiction of the Transportation Commission for as long as the highway is used to provide access to the United States Naval Auxiliary Air Station or to any other United States Government facility.
(3)
(a) The mileage of highway specifically designated in paragraph (b) of this subsection is in addition to the total mileage limitation of eight thousand six hundred (8,600) miles which is set out in Section 65-3-3.
(b) The following highway is designated as a state highway and shall be placed under the jurisdiction of the Mississippi Transportation Commission for construction and maintenance; and such highway, together with the highways designated in Sections 65-3-3 and 65-3-5, and any and all other laws adding links to the designated state highway system, are declared to be the state highway system of Mississippi:
Northern District - DeSoto County:
That road running in a northerly direction from the intersection of Mississippi 305 and Mississippi 302 to the Tennessee state line, for a distance of approximately two (2) miles.
(c) The Mississippi Transportation Commission shall maintain, construct, take over and assume jurisdiction of the highway designated in paragraph (b) of this subsection in the same manner and upon the same terms and conditions as set out in Sections 65-1-75, 65-3-3, 65-9-1 and 65-9-3.
(4) The following section of highway is deleted from the state highway system, removed from the jurisdiction of the Mississippi Transportation Commission, and returned to the jurisdiction of the Board of Supervisors of Lincoln County, Mississippi:
Southern District - Lincoln County:
That certain road known as the Jackson-Liberty Road which commences in the northwest 1/4 of Section 25, Township 8 North, Range 6 East, and extends northwesterly and northerly transversing Sections 24, 14, 13, 11, and 2, Township 8 North, Range 6 East, to its intersection with the Copiah County line on the north boundary of Section 1, Township 8 North, Range 6 East.
