SEC. 37-33-19. Duties of division of vocational rehabilitation.
Except as may be otherwise provided by law for the vocational rehabilitation of the blind, the state board, through the division of vocational rehabilitation, shall provide vocational rehabilitation services to disabled individuals determined by the director to be eligible therefor, and in carrying out the purposes of the Vocational Rehabilitation Law, the division is authorized among other things:
(a) to cooperate with other departments, agencies and institutions, both public and private, in providing for the vocational rehabilitation of disabled individuals, in studying the problems involved therein, and in establishing, developing and providing, in conformity with the purposes of said law, such programs, facilities and services as may be necessary or desirable;
(b) to enter into reciprocal agreements with other states to provide for the vocational rehabilitation of citizens of the states concerned while they may be temporarily residing in Mississippi;
(c) to conduct research and compile statistics relating to the vocational rehabilitation of disabled individuals;
(d) to prescribe and provide such courses of vocational training as may be necessary for the vocational rehabilitation of disabled persons.
