SEC. 53-7-47. Mining prohibited in national and state park lands.
No operation to mine any material shall commence or operate on lands which are part of a national park, national monument, national historic landmark, any property listed on the national register of historic places, national forest, national wilderness area, national wildlife refuge, national wild or scenic river, state park, state wildlife refuge, state forest, recorded state historical landmark, state historic site, state archaeological landmark or city or county park, forest or historical area. The commission, for good cause shown after a public hearing held in accordance with the provisions of section 53-7-45, may make an exception to this subsection.
