SEC. 27-47-11. Assignment negotiable.
Such tax lien, after it has been recorded as provided herein by the chancery clerk, shall become a negotiable instrument and may be transferred by indorsement on the back thereof and the filing of written notice of such transfer with the chancery clerk. The chancery clerk shall note on his records the transfer and assignment of all such liens and for so doing shall be entitled to receive as compensation therefor the sum of twenty-five cents. The chancery clerk shall be entitled to receive for recording any assignment executed by any tax collector as provided herein, and sending notices required by this chapter, the sum of one dollar. The tax collector shall be entitled to receive as his compensation for executing such assignments and notices as provided herein, the sum of one dollar.
