SEC.  93-25-77. Contest by obligor.

(1) An obligor may contest the validity or enforcement of an income-withholding order issued in another state and received directly by an employer in this state in the same manner as if the order had been issued by a tribunal of this state. Section 114 (Choice of law) applies to the contest.

 (2) The obligor shall give notice of the contest to:

 (a) A support enforcement agency providing services to the obligee;

 (b) Each employer that has directly received an income-withholding order;

 (c) The person or agency designated to receive payments in the income-withholding order; or

 (d) The obligee, where no person or agency is designated.

Note: 1997 Laws, Chapter 588, Sec. 150, states as follows:

SECTION 150. Any person or entity shall be absolutely immune from any liability arising from compliance with the dictates of this act unless such conduct by the person or entity is willful and intentional.
