SEC. 5-3-153. Membership of council; cochairs of council; meetings.
(1) The council shall consist of the following members:
(a) The Chairman of the Conservation and Water Resources Committee of the Mississippi House of Representatives and five (5) additional members of this committee, one (1) from each of the five (5) congressional districts if the membership allows, appointed by the Speaker of the House of Representatives; and
(b) The Chairman of the Environmental Protection, Conservation and Water Resources Committee of the Mississippi Senate, and five (5) additional members of this committee, one (1) from each of the five (5) congressional districts if the membership allows, appointed by the Lieutenant Governor.
(2) The chairmen of these two (2) legislative committees shall serve as cochair of the council. Meetings of the council shall be called as needed by agreement of the cochair.
