SEC. 5-3-161. Authority of council to hire staff and consultants.
The council is authorized to employ not more than three (3) full-time staff members and such additional consultants as it deems proper, to support the activities of the Environmental Protection Council in the performance of the tasks in Sections 5-3-151 and 5-3-157. The council is authorized to fix and pay compensation for its employees, including travel expenses. A record of all expenditures shall be maintained.
The council staff and employees or contract organizations employed by the council may continue at the discretion of the council any study, review, analysis or evaluation during the time the Legislature is in session.
