SEC. 11-35-29. Judgment on answer.
If the garnishee admit indebtedness to or the possession of effects of the defendant, and he have not paid or delivered the same to the sheriff, judgment may be rendered against him in favor of the plaintiff for the amount of the debt admitted, or for the property, or the value thereof (to be assessed if necessary), admitted to be in his possession; but the judgment shall not be for a greater sum than the plaintiff's demand.
