MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972
As Amended

SEC. 19-23-19. Secretarial assistance.

The board of supervisors in each county in the State of Mississippi is hereby authorized, in its discretion, to pay a reasonable sum not exceeding three hundred dollars ($300.00) per month to the county prosecuting attorney for secretarial services actually rendered to said county prosecuting attorney in the discharge of the official duties of his office.

1997 Amendment:

 SECTION 10. Section 19-23-19, Mississippi Code of 1972, is amended as follows:

 19-23-19. The board of supervisors in each county in the State of Mississippi is hereby authorized, in its discretion, to pay a reasonable sum not exceeding One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) per month to the county prosecuting attorney for secretarial services actually rendered to said county prosecuting attorney in the discharge of the official duties of his office.

SECTION 13. The Attorney General of the State of Mississippi is hereby directed to submit this act, immediately upon approval by the Governor, or upon approval by the Legislature subsequent to a veto, to the Attorney General of the United States or to the United States District Court for the District of Columbia in accordance with the provisions of the Voting Rights Act of 1965, as amended and extended.
