SEC. 37-17-11. Exemption of school districts from compulsory standards of accreditation.
The State Board of Education, in its discretion, may exempt any school district which meets Level 4 or 5 accreditation from any compulsory standard of accreditation. Provided, however, that in the event such standard of accreditation is an educational policy required by statute, any such exemption shall only be made if specifically authorized by law.
