SEC. 37-37-11. Minimum number of audits required during scholastic year.
In any case where an audit of any school made during the scholastic year under the provisions of this chapter, when compared with the monthly report filed with the superintendent of the school district by the principal of such school for the same month during which said audit was made, indicates that the number of students actually counted in such school is as much as three percent (3%) below the number reported, or the number transported appears to be as much as three percent (3%) below the number reported, then the examiner shall make a total of no less than six (6) audits during the scholastic year. However, this number of audits shall not be mandatory in those cases where the audit revealing the discrepancy is made so late in the scholastic year as to prevent a total of six (6) audits during said year.
