SEC. 41-5-55. Apprenticing of inmates forbidden.
It shall be unlawful for the governing board of the department of mental health or any of its appointees, employees or agents, including directors of institutions, to apprentice, or allow to be apprenticed, any of the inmates of any state-supported mental or mental retardation institution to any person, firm or corporation, and any violation shall be punished as a misdemeanor.
