SEC. 41-26-11. Plan for provision of safe drinking water under emergency circumstances.

The director shall promulgate an adequate plan for the provision of safe drinking water under emergency circumstances. When in the judgment of the director emergency circumstances exist in the state with respect to a need for safe drinking water, he may take such actions as he may deem necessary in order to provide such water where it otherwise would not be available.

1997 Amendment:

SECTION 12. Section 41-26-11, Mississippi Code of 1972, is amended as follows:

41-26-11. The director shall develop an adequate plan for the provision of safe drinking water under emergency circumstances. If, in the judgment of the director, emergency circumstances exist in the state * * * for safe drinking water, the director may take any actions deemed necessary * * * to provide safe drinking water where it otherwise would not be available.
