SEC. 41-61-60. Salary of county medical examiner/chief medical examiner investigator.
The county medical examiner/chief medical examiner investigator shall receive an amount not to exceed more than ten percent (10%) of the maximum fee and salary allowed by law presently; however, not more than one-half (1/2) of the maximum additional amount authorized under this Section 41-61-60 may be paid to the CME/CMEI during the same fiscal year of the county.
