SEC. 47-5-179. Department of Corrections to deduct non-emergency medical expenses from inmate accounts.
(1) The responsibility for paying the expenses of non-emergency medical care, treatment and medicine of an inmate is the responsibility of the inmate receiving the care, treatment and medicine.
(2) The Department of Corrections is authorized to deduct the payment for non-emergency medical care, treatment and medicine from an inmates' account and accept payment from other reimbursement programs.
