SEC. 49-17-307. Mississippi Gulf Coast Regional Wastewater Authority established.
There is hereby created and established a public body corporate and politic constituting a political subdivision of the State of Mississippi to be known as the "Mississippi Gulf Coast Regional Wastewater Authority." The authority shall be deemed to be acting in all respects for the benefit of the people of the state in the performance of essential public functions and the authority shall be empowered in accordance with the provisions of sections 49-17-301 through 49-17-353 to promote the health, welfare and prosperity of the general public.
