MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972

SEC. 51-35-129. Terms of office.

The commissioners appointed as aforesaid shall hold their offices for four years and until their successors are appointed and qualified. Succeeding commissioners shall be appointed, by the chancellor having jurisdiction over the district, for a term of four years; and the chancellor shall appoint as commissioner representing each county or counties the person recommended by the board of supervisors of such county or counties.

1997 Amendment

 SECTION 10. Sections 51-35-127, 51-35-129, 51-35-131, 51-35-133, 51-35-135, 51-35-137, 51-35-139, 51-35-141, 51-35-143 and 51-35-145, Mississippi Code of 1972, which create the Board of Commissioners, provide for terms of office, oath and compensation of board members and for organization, quorum, employees, minutes and officers of the board, and authorize the Board of Commissioners to designate depositories for funds of the district, are repealed.
