SEC. 51-35-143. Officer's bonds.
The treasurer of the board of commissioners shall give bond for the faithful performance of his duties in an amount equal to the amount of any sum or sums likely to come into the said treasurer's hands at any one time, to be approved by the president of the board of commissioners after the amount of such bond has been fixed by the board. The secretary shall also give bond for the faithful performance of his duties in the amount to be fixed by the board. The secretary and treasurer may be the same person, and if the offices of secretary and treasurer are combined, the salary shall not exceed the sum of $2,400.00 annually and the bond shall be conditioned for the faithful performance of duties as secretary and treasurer.

1997 Amendment
SECTION 10. Sections 51-35-127, 51-35-129, 51-35-131, 51-35-133, 51-35-135, 51-35-137, 51-35-139, 51-35-141, 51-35-143 and 51-35-145, Mississippi Code of 1972, which create the Board of Commissioners, provide for terms of office, oath and compensation of board members and for organization, quorum, employees, minutes and officers of the board, and authorize the Board of Commissioners to designate depositories for funds of the district, are repealed.
