SEC. 53-1-101. Authority to contribute to interstate oil compact commission.

[This section was reenacted without change by Laws, 1991, ch. 340, Sec. 29, effective from and after passage (approved March 11, 1991). Since the language of the section as it appears in the parent volume is unaffected by the reenactment, it is not reprinted in this supplement as directed by Sec. 30 of ch. 340.] The State Oil and Gas Board is hereby authorized to pay annually out of the funds of said board the sum of Two Thousand Dollars ($2,000.00) to the Interstate Oil Compact Commission.

1997 Amendment

Section 53-1-101, Mississippi Code of 1972, is amended as follows:

 53-1-101. The State Oil and Gas Board may pay annually out of the funds of the board the annual membership dues payable to the Interstate Oil Compact Commission for the membership of the State of Mississippi in that organization. The State Oil and Gas Board may pay the reasonable and necessary travel expenses incurred by the members and staff of the State Oil and Gas Board and by the designee appointed by the Governor to the Interstate Oil Compact Commission for travel to meetings of the commission to the extent those expenses are payable by law.
