SEC. 63-1-77. Driving commercial motor vehicle without appropriate license; driving while license suspended, revoked, etc.
(1) Except when driving under a commercial driver instruction permit and accompanied by the holder of a commercial driver's license valid for the vehicle being driven, from and after April 1, 1992, no person shall drive a commercial motor vehicle on the highways of this state unless the person holds a commercial driver's license with applicable endorsements valid for the vehicle he is driving.
(2) From and after April 1, 1992, no person shall drive a commercial motor vehicle on the highways of this state while his driving privilege is suspended, revoked or cancelled, while subject to a disqualification or in violation of an out-of-service order.
(3) Any person violating this section shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction, shall be punished as provided by Section 63-1-69, Mississippi Code of 1972.
