SEC. 63-7-307. Dismissal of proceedings against persons charged with first offense.
No person charged with violating section 63-7-301 for the first time shall be convicted if, prior to or at the time of his court or hearing appearance, he produces in court or submits to the clerk of the court in which the charge is pending, proof of acquisition of the required child restraint device or system. The clerk of the court is authorized to dismiss such cases at any time if proof of such acquisition is produced prior to the defendant's scheduled court or hearing appearance.
