SEC. 69-2-47. Confidentiality of information received by Farm Mediation Office; mediation proceedings not open to public participation.
(1) All materials, data and information received by the Farm Mediation Office with respect to any request filed under Section 69-2-45 of this chapter are confidential and are not subject to examination or disclosure as public information or public records under the Mississippi Public Records Act of 1983.
(2) No official, employee or agent of the Farm Mediation Office may knowingly disclose any materials, data or information concerning a mediation request without the consent of the farmer and the creditor.
(3) Meetings between a farmer and any creditor conducted by a mediator are not open to public participation and are not subject to the provisions of the Open Meetings Law as provided in Sections 25-41-1 through 25-41-17.
