SEC. 73-39-23. Failure to renew license; notice; expiration.
If any holder of a license fails to renew his license by August 1, the secretary-treasurer of the board shall notify such person of the delinquency by registered mail addressed to the last-known address of such person as recorded with the board, and if the renewal is not executed within thirty (30) days from the mailing of such notice, then the license of such person shall by operation of law automatically expire and become void without further action of the board. In such event, the board shall notify the circuit clerk of the county wherein such formerly licensed person's address of record with the board is located that the license has not been renewed, that the board has mailed the notice required herein, and that the license of such person has expired by operation of law. The clerk shall record the notice in the book which he is required to keep under the provisions pursuant to this chapter for which service the clerk shall be paid out of the funds of the board for each name reported.
