MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972

SEC. 75-31-31. Milk received for manufacturing purposes; acceptability.

Sections 75-31-1, 75-31-3, 75-31-5, 75-31-6, 75-31-7, 75-31-9, 75-31-11, 75-31-13, 75-31-15, 75-31-17, 75-31-19, 75-31-21, 75-31-23, 75-31-25, 75-31-27, 75-31-29, 75-31-31, 75-31-33, 75-31-35, 75-31-37, 75-31-39, 75-31-40, 75-31-41, 75-31-43, 75-31-45, 75-31-47, 75-31-49, 75-31-51, 75-31-53, 75-31-55, 75-31-57, 75-31-59, 75-31-61 and 75-31-63, Mississippi Code of 1972, which provide for the regulation of milk and milk products by the Commissioner of Agriculture and Commerce, are repealed.

A milk which is classed as herein provided in class one or class two shall be acceptable for manufacturing purposes, and milk which is classed as class three milk shall be acceptable subject to the following requirements: The producer shall be notified that the milk was classed as class three milk, and all milk received from said producer thereafter shall be sediment tested until the milk received from said producer is classified as class one or class two. Provided, however, that if after ten days milk received from this producer does not class as class one or class two milk, then no more milk of class three may be received from this producer.

Milk which is classified as herein provided in class four shall be rejected and sediment test shall be made on all milk thereafter delivered by a producer for whom class four milk has been tested until the milk delivered by said producer shall be classed as class one or class two milk.

Sediment discs showing the class of the milk shall be attached by the receiving plant or station to the can in which the milk is delivered when the milk is classed as class three or class four milk.
