SEC. 75-31-131. Labeling requirements.
The labeling on all packages or containers of frozen desserts or mix designed for sale at retail shall clearly and conspicuously include: (a) the name of the food as provided for in the definitions and standards established by sections 75-31-125 through 75-31-151; (b) the quantity of contents; (c) the name and address of the manufacturer, packer or distributor, provided that the manufacturer's plant code number shall also appear if the manufacturer's name and address are not included on the label; and (d) the flavor labeling, if the food contains any added characterizing ingredients. Individually wrapped novelty items or confections are not required to be labeled if they are contained in a multiple package which is properly labeled and purveyed unopened to the consumer. Mix in commercial bulk shipping containers shall be tagged or labeled with the name of the product, pasteurization date or code, net contents, name and address of processor, manufacturer or distributor, and manufacturer's plant code number if the manufacturer's name and address do not appear on the tag or label.

1997 Amendment SECTION 3. Sections 75-31-125 through 75-31-151, Mississippi Code of 1972, which provide for the Mississippi Frozen Desserts Act of 1982, are repealed.
