SEC. 83-1-1. Department of insurance created.
[This section was reenacted without change by Laws, 1996, ch. 313, Sec. 1, effective from and after June 30, 1996. Since the language of the section as it appears in the parent volume is unaffected by the reenactment, it is not reprinted in this supplement as directed by the State Attorney General.] There is hereby continued a separate and distinct department of insurance, which shall be charged with the execution of all laws (except as otherwise specifically provided by statute) now in force, or which may hereafter be enacted, relative to all insurance and all insurance companies, corporations, associations, or orders.
