SEC. 83-21-47. Discretionary continuances.
The court, in any action, suit, or proceeding in which service is made in the manner provided in sections 83-21-33 to 83-21-51, may, in its discretion, order such postponement as may be necessary to afford the defendant reasonable opportunity to comply with the provisions of section 83-21-45 and to defend such action.
