SEC. 83-41-15. Examination of accounts.
The insurance commissioner shall have full authority to examine the books, records, papers, and all other data belonging to or bearing on the business of any such person, firm, association, or corporation, and may designate any practical accountant to make said examination at a reasonable per diem and expenses not to exceed the sum of $100.00 for any one year, to be paid by such person, firm, association, or corporation. If upon examination the insurance commissioner be of the opinion that the capital stock of a corporation has become impaired, the commissioner may thereupon for said reason cancel its license to do business in this state.

1997 Amendment
SECTION 1. Sections 83-41-1, 83-41-3, 83-41-5, 83-41-7, 83-41-9, 83-41-11, 83-41-13, 83-41-15, 83-41-17 and 83-41-19, Mississippi Code of 1972, which provide for the organization and regulation of hospital and medical service associations by the Commissioner of Insurance, are repealed.
