SEC. 83-49-37. Insurers to be in conformity with this chapter and other laws.
All insurers licensed to transact life or casualty insurance in this state or any corporation organized pursuant to the provisions of sections 83-41-101 through 83-41-131 who are licensed to issue policies of prepaid legal services insurance in this state shall be required to meet all the requirements of this chapter, unless specifically excepted therefrom by this chapter. Provided, that nothing contained herein shall be deemed to relieve the obligations of an insurer licensed to transact life or casualty insurance in this state or any corporation organized pursuant to sections 83-41-101 through 83-41-131 from complying with the requirements of the Mississippi Code of 1972 and any other applicable laws of this state.

1997 Amendment:
SECTION 10. Section 83-49-37, Mississippi Code of 1972, is amended as follows:
83-49-37.
