SEC. 99-9-29. Definitions.
"Witness" as used in sections 99-9-27 to 99-9-35 shall include a person whose testimony is relevant and material and desired in any proceeding or investigation by a grand jury or in a criminal action, prosecution or proceeding.
"State" as used in sections 99-9-27 to 99-9-35 shall include any territory of the United States and the District of Columbia.
