CONSTITUTION OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI

Article 3, Section 21. Writ of habeas corpus.

The privilege of the writ of habeas corpus shall not be suspended, unless when in the case of rebellion or invasion, the public safety may require it, nor ever without the authority of the legislature.
