CONSTITUTION OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI

Article 4, Section 79. Sale of delinquent tax lands; right of redemption.

The legislature shall provide by law for the sale of all delinquent tax lands. The courts shall apply the same liberal principles in favor of such titles as in sale by execution. The right of redemption from all sales of real estate, for the nonpayment of taxes or special assessments, of any and every character whatso ever, shall exist, on conditions to be prescribed by law, in favor of owners and persons interested in such real estate, for a period of not less than two years.
